Ideas from the course

  • Hitting d4 at once. Keep the center with e3 and recapture. Do not grab b7 unless you know the tactics.
  • Against ...c6, play e3. Do not jump to b5 — the c-pawn takes the knight.
  • A French-looking Jobava. Trading on f4 is fine. Then castle and play ...c5.
