Ideas from the course

  • The Scheveningen small center: pawns on d6 and e6. Flexible, a bit cramped, very solid.
  • Classical development. White will often play f4 and a4 to stop ...b5.
  • Same storm as against the Najdorf. Black's ...e6 makes g4-g5 hits a knight on f6 even juicier.
